The alpine village of Hanmer Springs NZ, with its world renowned thermal reserve, is an easy 135km (1.5 hour) north of Christchurch, on SH 7A.

As you are coming into Hanmer, almost opposite the hot pools turn right into Harrogate Street and you will find Spa Lodge Motel second on the right. Spa Lodge is within easy walking distance to the hot pools and all shops, restaurants and cafés.
